“Une semaine d’Art en Avignon” with DIESE

IT4Culture is proud to support the special 2020 edition of the iconic Festival d’Avignon.

This year, Covid-19 almost forced the festival to cancel. Thanks to the dedication of the teams, the 74th edition is finally happening in a condensed format.

A week of art in the heart of Avignon

The event, called “Une semaine d’Art en Avignon”, honors the first festival created by Jean Vilar in 1947.
It runs from October 23 to 31.
Seven productions take place in the festival’s usual venues, offering a rich cultural experience for audiences.

DIESE simplifies scheduling

For the first time, the festival relies on DIESE to manage all planning and staff scheduling.

Earlier in 2020, the software helped to:

  • recruit over a thousand seasonal and technical workers
  • rehire employees from previous years

The system centralizes the overall schedule and the individual shifts for all staff: technicians, ushers, bartenders, drivers, and administrative teams.
More than 20 teams work across 50 venues. All contracts are declared, issued, and signed directly in the system, making management much simpler.

Real-time budget tracking

With DIESE’s integrated budgeting module, the festival can track personnel costs in real time. This allows teams to manage resources efficiently and adjust schedules quickly when needed.

Looking ahead to 2021

At IT4Culture, we look forward to a return to normal in 2021.
The festival will also be able to test our latest innovations, such as electronic signature, to speed up the contracting process even further.
