#DIESE at Drottningholms Slottsteater

Drottningholms Slottsteater, located a few kilometers from Stockholm, now uses DIESE as its planning system. This historic 18th-century theatre welcomes visitors during the day and opera audiences in the evening.

Smooth organization for a busy venue

In the royal park, costumed guides, backstage technicians, and rehearsing artists cross paths daily. Everyone needs to know who goes backstage, who greets a group at the castle, or who keeps the theatre open longer. With DIESE, this information flows easily among teams, especially those managing access and security.

DIESE as an integrated daily tool

Since 2018, the theatre team has relied on DIESE to manage all activities. The software handles both:

  • the overall planning of the theatre
  • individual scheduling for technicians, who can check their shifts, confirm or correct worked hours via the myDiese employee portal, with paid hours and overtime calculated automatically.

Streamlined scheduling and payroll

Front-of-house staff and guides also have personalized schedules, complete with rules, alerts, and pay elements.
Artists can view their individual schedules, and soon, the system will automatically generate all paper contracts, simplifying administrative management.

Guided tours and ticketing made easy

Guided tours, known for being lively and immersive, form a core part of the theatre’s activity. Whether standard or themed, tours require careful management: applying tariffs, creating quotes, and generating invoices for group bookings.

To support this, the theatre is implementing DIESE’s sales module, with project completion planned for 2020.

Thanks to DIESE, Drottningholms Slottsteater can now coordinate staff, plan activities efficiently, and manage guided tours seamlessly and intuitively.
