A fresh start for Comédie de Genève

Comédie de Genève now uses DIESE to build and share its planning, schedule administrative, artistic and technical teams, and manage its inventory.

As part of its preparation for reopening in 2020, the Swiss theatre has implemented DIESE’s planning, staff scheduling, and inventory management modules.

A major transformation for Comédie de Genève

Comédie de Genève is entering an exciting new phase, with several key developments underway:

  • a brand-new building
  • the creation of its own troupe
  • a renewed and expanded team

These changes mark a significant step forward in the theatre’s evolution.

IT4Culture is proud to support Comédie de Genève throughout this transformation.

Centralized planning for artistic and technical activities

From its temporary location in central Geneva, the theatre already relies on DIESE to build and share its global planning, including:

  • artistic programming
  • technical activities
  • space and venue booking

This centralized system improves coordination and visibility across all departments.

Optimized staff scheduling and payroll integration

With DIESE’s staff scheduling module, both technical teams and permanent staff are individually scheduled.

Custom calculation rules ensure that accurate working time data is automatically transmitted to payroll systems, enabling efficient workforce management and payroll accuracy.

Inventory management and collaboration between theatres

The implementation of DIESE’s inventory management system is currently underway.

Part of this inventory will be shared with other French-speaking theatres in Switzerland. This is made possible through another IT4Culture initiative: a dedicated application for inventory sharing between cultural institutions, currently in development.

Supporting innovation in cultural organizations

This project reflects a broader ambition to enhance collaboration and resource sharing across the cultural sector.
